the 5.4.x fixpacks have a series of behavioral fixes for LUA that should be adopted https://www.lua.org/bugs.html
seems to be a lost cause now we continue to wait.. only offer up to 5.4.2 officially, closing for now maybe LUA 5.5 will be offered.
